Charles Fabrikant is co-founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and has been a director of SEACOR Holdings Inc. (“SEACOR”) and several of its subsidiaries since SEACOR’s inception in 1989. Mr. Fabrikant serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of SEACOR’s former offshore marine services division, SEACOR Marine Holdings Inc. (“SEACOR Marine”), an operator of offshore support vessels, since June 2017. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of SEACOR’s former aviation division, Bristow, an international helicopter operator. Mr. Fabrikant served on the board of directors of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (“Diamond”), a contract oil and gas driller, from January 2004 to May 2019. Mr. Fabrikant also served on the board of directors of Dorian LPG Ltd., a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company and leading owner and operator of modern Very Large Gas Carriers (“VLGCs”), from July 2013 through December 2015, and on the board of directors of Hawker Pacific Airservices, Limited, an aviation sales product support company until April 2018. He also serves as President of Fabrikant International Corporation (“FIC”), a privately owned corporation engaged in private investments. FIC may be deemed an affiliate of SEACOR.
Mr. Fabrikant’s involvement in maritime and environmental affairs began in the early 1970s, with the development of environmental legislation in the U.S. From 1968-1969, Mr. Fabrikant served as a Law Clerk for Judge Harold Leventhal, Washington D.C. Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and from 1969-1970, Law Clerk for Justice John Marshall Harlan II. From 1971-1972, he worked for the Environmental Protection Agency. Following his tenure at the EPA, Mr. Fabrikant formed a D.C. based law firm. By 1976, Mr. Fabrikant ceased practicing law, but continues to be a Member of the Society of Maritime Arbitrators.
In 1980, Mr. Fabrikant founded SCF Corporation, dedicated to transporting goods on the Inland Waterway. SCF Corporation has been a subsidiary of SEACOR since 2000.
Mr. Fabrikant is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and Harvard University.
