Bengt got his law degree, specializing in maritime law, in Norway. He worked for the Norwegian Maritime Directorate, P&I Clubs and had his own law firm and maritime consulting firm in Oslo before moving to the US.
Since then he has primarily worked as in-house counsel for ship owners/operators being hands-on immersed in day-to-day issues involving bills of lading, voyage and time charters, pool agreements, syndication of charter parties, vessel management, bunkering, dry-docking, S&P contracts, all types of marine insurance issues and claims, pollution issues and much, much more. Bengt has extensive experience with arbitrations in New York, London, Paris and Oslo and is a certified mediator.
