Currently Senior Lawyer at GARD North America Inc., GARD AS. In 2006 joined at Shipowners Claims Bureau, Inc. (SCB), Managers of the American P&I Club, where she was the Vice President, Global FD&D (a/k/a “Defense”) Manager & Counsel (2013-2023) to oversee handling of FD&D matters worldwide and represented the American Club in the Global FD&D Insurers’ Industry Forum. Additionally handled a wide variety of complex P&I cases globally involving litigation, arbitration, mediation for ship owners and charterers. Practiced at prominent maritime law firms in Istanbul and New York. Experienced in charter party disputes, cargo claims, ship building/repair contracts, sale and purchase, casualties, pollution, marine insurance and other marine claims.

Appointed as the Corporate Counsel Industry Liaison Officer of the International Bar Association’s (“IBA”) Maritime & Transport Law Committee (2018-2019), the Committee Liaison Officer to collaborate with Comité Maritime International (“CMI”) (2020-2021), and Diversity and Inclusion Officer (2022-2023). IBA’s representative at the United Nations during the UNCITRAL’s meetings on United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sale of Ships.

Certificate in Commercial Mediation (NYC Bar Association/SMA, 2017). Member of the US Maritime Law Association, WISTA USA and IBA.
