Born 1952. Presently a Maritime Consultant for proposal and contract preparation, strategy, dispute resolution, chartering, shipbuilding and repair for large commercial vessels. Retired Vice President Lockheed Martin, Maritime Systems and Sensors. 25 years with Lockheed Martin included multiple career positions of increased responsibility in contracts, finance and program management. Extensive experience contracting for and hands on management of shipbuilding and repair activity domestic and international. Obtained and performed international and domestic contracts for commercial and government customers related to shipbuilding and repair including design and build of SWATH oceanographic research vessel, high speed crew boats for offshore oil industry, tug and rescue vessels for foreign delivery, and development and production of Littoral Combat Ship. Managed government and commercial programs world wide for the integration of multiple complex Lockheed Martin systems and products. Managed and oversaw all maritime related contract and dispute activity. Worked very closely with outside counsel and experts in the presentation of Lockheed Martin maritime claims .Initial career activity included Ship Superintendent, machinery foreman for Bethlehem Steel Corp. at the Baltimore Ship Repair facility completing management training across all shipyard crafts and managing major ship overhauls and repair. 1974 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy marine engineering, licensed marine engineer. Graduate management studies at Johns Hopkins University.
